JV COLOR GUARD PROMOTED
Posted by: | CommentsCongratulations to the Friendswood JV Color Guard. They join the Friendswood Varsity by earning a promotion to a higher Classification. The JV Guard have been promoted to the AAA division as a result of their second place finish at the Texas Color Guard Circuit Championships this last April in the Scholastic Regional A division. A true accomplishment since all 28 teams they competed against at State were Varsity programs for their respected schools. They are now the highest rated JV program in TCGC and will be competing head to head with primarily 5A High School Varsity teams in 2010.
This along with the Promotion of the Varsity Color Guard by Winter Guard International from Scholastic A to Open Class for their 13th place finish at the WGI National Championships, culminate a wonderful year and will make for an exciting future as the teams look forward to the 2009-2010 Marching Band and Winter Guard seasons.
