Lone Star Preview 4A Champions
ByCongratulations to the Mighty Mustang Band for being named the Lone Star Preview Class 4A Champion and earning a spot in the finals. That evening, The Mustang Band finished 2nd overall in the entire contest, regardless of class, to Brazoswood HS. There were a total of 24 bands competing mostly 5A’s. The Mustang Band won the Outstanding Visual, Outstanding General Effect, and Outstanding Color Guard Awards in Class 4A. In the finals, the Mustang Band won the Outstanding Music Performance Award. This is the highest finish ever by the Mustang Band at the Lone Star Preview. Congratulations to the students for their hard work and determination! Many thanks to all of the parents who made the whole day possible! UIL Contest is Tuesday night, 6:45pm, at Dickinson HS. Come out and support the band!
